Antique Farm

I love vintage! I love farms! In fact, I eventually want to raise chickens for eggs, sheep for wool (I am a knitter), and we have been gardening for the last couple of years. So, I wanted to create a tribute to farms and the feel of farm life. Many of us get carried away with technology, the city, fast pace of life....We tend to forget the basics. Owls were really popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Maybe it was due to their mysterious ways, or perhaps it's because they are wise, or maybe it is simply because they are adorable and cuddly. New Patchwork, Old Fabric

I have shown off vintage fabrics and linked you to different book resources for sewing with vintage fabrics, but not once have I created a collection of what artists are actually sewing with these antique fabrics. Thus, I have decided to dedicate this to the creation of patchwork with vintage fabric. The results of recycling fabric are beautiful!

When I think diamonds, I think argyle or kites (or jewels...), but how many of us think of diamonds on fabric, let alone vintage fabric? There are so many various decorative patterns featuring diamonds that are beautiful to work with.
